Making a difference

Giving Back to the Community is a Way of Life

For more than 300 men and women who donate their time and efforts making a difference as volunteers, giving back to the community has become their way of life!

These devoted volunteers have given more than a million hours of their time to enhance the quality of life and build meaningful relationships with Residents who live at Mozaic Jewish Home.

Volunteers can be found leading current events discussion groups, assisting Residents with their computer skills and spending helping in offices, transporting Residents to the Synagogue, taking patients to physical therapy sessions and working all around the campus as an extension of staff. During one-to-one visits, volunteers write letters, record autobiographies and read poetry, providing and encouraging both social and intellectual stimulation for residents.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and ages with amazing talents to share. From students to professionals, families and community members, the Mozaic Senior Life volunteers enjoy being a part of our extended family and the satisfaction of making a positive difference in someone’s life.

Many students enhance their academic studies, gain insight into career plans through exposure to geriatric practice in a medical model, and enrich their community by becoming volunteers. Mozaic Senior Life's carefully identifies the individual interests of each volunteer with the numerous opportunities available, to meet busy schedules.
